Private income retirement visa
To apply for the private income retirement visa, the applicant must deposit enough funds into a Panama government bank (Banco Nacional or Caja de Ahorros) to generate a monthly interest income of no less than US$850 + $250 per dependent. This must be your sole income in Panama, and you may not have a mortgage or other liabilities on this account.
Requirements:
Valid passport (more than 6 months)
Full notarized copy of passport (done in Panama)
5 passport photos
Recent police/FBI criminal report - must be apostilled
Background declaration form (done in Panama)
Health certificate (done in Panama)
Power of attorney (done in Panama)
Bank certificate from the bank showing your total deposit amount, interest rates etc.
Authenticated copy of bank deposit
If married, a marriage certificate apostilled
If you have children, birth certificates apostilled
Children 18-24 can only be included if they show valid study status (university enrollment etc) and single status
+ letters of accountability, proof of address showing everyone resides at the same address.
Permit of 5 year residency status is provided and can be renewed for an additional 5 years. Note that to renew, the requirements listed above must be provided again except the police record from your home country.
